The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) announced its plans to launch several economic programs using e-applications. New programs to support establishment of startups and emerging projects nationwide, especially for young people, will accept applications round the year for the first time, according to a JEDCO statement on Wednesday.
JEDCO will also launch a program to help prepare Jordanian companies to market their products in various industrial, craft, agricultural, and service sectors for a one-year period, the statement said. The drive is designed to support 20 projects with “promising” marketing and export opportunities in order to keep pace with international marketing skills and enhance the competitiveness of the national products locally and internationally, while maintaining the sustainability of the enterprises, the statement noted.
According to JEDCO, JD500,000 has been allotted from a government funding for the purpose of paying the shipping costs for various Jordanian industrial and agricultural exports to international markets. The assistance will cover half of the exporter’s shipping bill, particularly for nontraditional markets, in order to preserve Jordanian export markets in various global markets, the statement pointed out.
