Kuwait on Wednesday revoked all restrictions on anti-coronavirus vaccination and PCR testing for incoming travelers. In a statement after the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister, Oil Minister and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Mohammad Al-Fares said face masks are optional in indoor and outdoor locations, but symptomatic COVID-19 patients must wear masks.
Vaccinated and unvaccinated people will have equal access to all public places regardless of their vaccination status. PCR tests will no longer be required at educational institutions and workplaces. In addition, the cabinet has lifted quarantine restrictions on those who may have close contact with COVID-19 patients, but they must wear face-masks for 14 days and undergo PCR tests within 14 days, he said.
Additionally, the cabinet decided to make patients home-quarantined for five days and to put on masks for five more days after the end of home-quarantine, the minister said, adding that vaccinated fans would be allowed back into stadiums. As a precaution, the cabinet urged worshippers to wear masks and carry mats at all mosques and prayer places.
